River Cruises
Across the River from East Haddam in the village of Haddam is the office of Camelot Cruises, Inc., 1 Marine Park, Haddam, CT 06438. (tel. 203/345-8591). From March through October, you can board the M.V. Camelot for a luncheon or dinner cruise along the placid river. There's no better way to enjoy the scenery, and you get a meal and live entertainment to boot. This is fairly formal dining, and you are expected to dress "appropriately"--suits or sport jackets for men, a dress, skirt and blouse, or a nice slacks outfit for women.
Cruises depart rain or shine. The luncheon cruise boards at Haddam at 11:30am and departs Wed., Thurs., Sat., and Sun. at noon, returning at 2:30pm. The evening dinner cruise boards at 6:30pm and departs Wednesday through Saturday at 7pm, returning at 10pm. The price, meal (but not tax and tips) included, is $22.75 per person for the luncheon cruise, $38.75 for the dinner cruise; $24.75 for the Sunday Brunch Cruise. Children under 12 pay half price on either cruise.
