To get across Narragansett Bay from Newport, you will have to cross two bridges on RI Route 138: first, the Claiborne Pell (Newport) Bridge from Newport to Jamestown Island (toll), and then the Jamestown Bridge from Jamestown Island to Saunderstown.

From Saunderstown, head south on US Route 1A (Alternate US Route 1).
