The new Harvard Art Museums building will open in November 16, 2014 as one of the most important collections of painting and sculpture in the Boston area.

Founded in 1891, the Fogg Art Museum was Harvard University's oldest museum and has long served as the center of art study at Harvard.

The original Fogg building is currently surrounded by construction as the new Harvard Art Museums complex is being realized in a $350 million renovation and expansion.

The museum is CLOSED for renovation. When it re-opens on November 16, 2014, the new Harvard Art Museums complex will include not only the Fogg collection and that of the Busch-Reisinger Museum, but also of the Sackler Museum.
