Boston's main convention center is the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC) in the Seaport District of South Boston. The older, smaller John B Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center ("the Hynes") is at the western end of the Back Bay on Boylston Street on the west side of the Prudential Center. Though smaller, the Hynes has the advantage of being right in the center of Boston shopping, with the Prudential Center right next door, the Copley Place mall right across the street, and Newbury Street just one block away. Berklee College of Music, with its numerous free and inexpensive musical performances, is little more than a block away. MBTA subway Green Line B, C and D trains will take you to the Hynes station, between Copley Square and Kenmore Square. Besides the Hotels near the Hynes Convention Center, you should consider Hotels near Copley Square and Hotels near Kenmore Square. John B Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention
