Springfield MA has several large modern hotels, good for business, conventions, and overnight tourist travel, right in the city center (map). The 3-star, 244-room La Quinta Inn & Suites Springfield is in the city center only 1000 feet (350 meters) from the Amtrak train station, just off I-291 Exit 2. More... The 3-star, 265-room Springfield Marriott is right in the city center by Memorial Bridge, as is the 3-star, 325-room Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel. There's a 3-star, 143-room Hilton Garden Inn Springfield on the south side of the Basketball Hall of Fame. just off I-91 next to the Connecticut River.
