Logo   Berry Manor Inn, Rockland, Maine

The Berry Manor Inn, on quiet Talbot Avenue in Rockland, Maine, is a grand 19th-century residence built by a prominent Rockland merchant for his wife as a wedding present.

Charles Berry spared no expense. The details and amenities in the house still testify to his success. The spacious front porch and port-cochère, beautiful lawn, and spacious salons and dining room, are all yours to enjoy.

The 12 large guest rooms with private baths have been further upgraded with amenities such as whirlpool baths, fireplaces, canopy beds, individually-controlled heating and air-conditioning, iPod docking clock radios, digital TVs with DVD players. There's free Wifi thoughout the inn.

Guests have the benefit of fluffy bathrobes, full breakfast, evening sweets, complimentary drinks, a guest computer and printer, and a library stocked with books, games, magazines and DVDs.

The location is superb: on a quiet street among distinguished houses only a five-minute walk west of Main Street with its shops, cafés, restaurants and museums.
