Patriots' Day Parade, Concord MA

It was the day in 1775 that the British redcoats marched in from Boston, having slain several Minutemen in Lexington on the way.

The British went on to Concord's Old North Bridge, where they met a much larger number of Minutemen who chased them back to Boston and started the Revolutionary War.

These days, April 19th is commemorated annually with a re-enactment of the battle at Concord's Old North Bridge, a gala parade through town, and many other events. More...
